FreeCEX exists to solve a simple problem: choosing the right crypto exchange shouldn't be this hard.
With dozens of exchanges competing for your attention, each claiming to be the best, the average crypto user faces a confusing landscape of marketing claims, hidden fees, and unclear security practices. We cut through the noise with data-driven, independently researched comparisons.
What Makes Us Different
- We test with real money. Our team maintains accounts on every exchange we review. We make real deposits, execute real trades, and test real withdrawals
- Ratings are never for sale. No exchange can pay for a higher rating. Our editorial team operates independently from our business team
- We update constantly. Exchanges change fees, features, and policies regularly. Our reviews are updated quarterly at minimum, and immediately when significant changes occur
- Full methodology transparency. Our scoring criteria are publicly documented so you can see exactly how we arrive at our ratings
- Affiliate disclosure. We may earn commissions from some exchange links. This is always disclosed and never influences our ratings or recommendations
Our Team
FreeCEX was founded by a team of crypto enthusiasts, security researchers, and financial analysts who were frustrated by the lack of truly independent exchange comparisons. Our reviewers have a combined 30+ years of experience in cryptocurrency, cybersecurity, and financial technology.

Our editorial process includes:
- Hands-on testing of every exchange with real accounts and funds
