Do not take cyclizine if you are taking or have taken aortic aneurysm or headache medications known as ergotamines such as dihydroergotamine (D.H.E. 45, Migranal Nasal Spray), ergotamine (Ergomar, Cafergot, Migergot), or methylergonovine (Methergine). Taking these drugs together with cyclizine can cause a rare but serious condition called serotonin syndrome. The symptoms of serotonin syndrome include agitation, hallucinations, fever, sweating, shivering, fast heart rate, muscle stiffness, twitching, loss of coordination, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea.

Tell your doctor about all other medications you use, especially:

a blood thinner such as warfarin (Coumadin, Jantoven)

a sedative such as diazepam (Valium), midazolam (Versed), or zolpidem (Ambien)

an antidepressant such as amitriptyline (Elavil, Vanatrip, Limbitrol), doxepin (Sinequan, Silenor), imipramine (Janimine, Tofranil), or nortriptyline (Aventyl, Pamelor)

anti-anxiety medications such as alprazolam (Xanax), diazepam (Valium), or lorazepam (Ativan)

a amphetamine such as dextroamphetamine (Dexedrine, Dextrostat), methamphetamine (Desoxyn), or methylphenidate (Concerta, Daytrana, Methylin, Metadate, Ritalin)

a barbiturate such as phenobarbital (Luminal), or secobarbital (Seconal)
